Ah. Sounds like a reinterpretation of the Pygmalion myth.
From an old 80s film called Robot Carnival. It was an anthology of animated shorts put together as a film with the central theme being Robots. The character is from one of my favorite shorts about a man who secretly builds robots on the side and builds a robot girl that falls in love with him.

Pretty much, it will be years before it gets a fair shake and I feel the best the team could do is to really explain what happened in development. I'm still of the opinion that Versus was basically a rough draft of a script, some concept art, and a few concept videos; with nothing else substantial to give you the impression it was ever really worked on for most of its life.
Yeah. I still think announcing XV early was the greatest mistake in the series' history. It set up insane expectations.
We'll wait and see, I feel it's too early to say how much was cut and what not. The game's history has been so fraught with issues that there are plenty of rumors of what was and wasn't going to be in the game. I mean we still don't really have a clue what happened with XII's development and that was ten years ago.
I think they'll actually just be re-adding scenes that were cut. Apparently, development actually only took three years and they didn't have enough time for all the cutscenes. And apparently Luna lost half her scenes because they were worried they would be too problematic.
I'd rather play the original first then see the "fixes". I'm a bit weary of people coming back through and fixing a plot, especially since Tabata is a bit too accommodating and may add in some terrible ideas from the fansbase.
I get that. This is actually part of the reason why I'm actually a bit happy that I'll get this later, since I might actually end up playing it after the story patches are out
