Conversation Between Fynn and Wolf Kanno

  1. I'm already seeing that. Still, it might be the best numbered entry to come out (for me at least) since XII, which is really nice, but I haven't quite hit the "problematic areas" of the story yet. Of anything I still have plenty of time for this game to screw up for me but I'm not feeling like it will. Hell, I didn't actually think the original ending to Mass Effect was the travesty so many of its fanbase claimed it to be, so I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up liking the later sections. My beef so far has been the story sequences feel a bit rushed and lack a bit of focus for my taste.
  2. I can imagine. From what I gather, this game may have a similar problem to the likes of FFXII and Xenogears - ambitious but very flawed
  3. I feel it has to do with liking the characters the most. You'll get more out of the main party by taking things slow than just rushing forward. I do feel I'm beginning to see some cracks in the storytelling though.
  4. Yeah, that's kind of what I expected. I think I told you earlier how I read really clashing opinions and most people who hated the game had rushed through it, while those that loved it too things slow.
  5. Well with the game still out and the implosion of the last video, we can turn it into smaller topics and probably bring in more people as more people finish the game. I'm in Chapter 6 myself, I'm kind of surprised how quickly everyone has finished the game but I feel it's because I'm taking my time and doing more than just the story missions, which have certainly painted a different impression of the game for me than the few comments I've read on the subject.
  6. Completely agreed. Though I know there are certain topics (like the villain thing and the Ito thing) that I feel you and I could do the most justice

But yeah, I actually had the idea of asking more people about their thoughts on FFXV before it came out but, sadly, I thought about it way too late. But it's still a good idea to have some topics prepared earlier and reach out to the people to ask who wants to be a part of it,
  7. We could probably just have members do them in January during the lull and then release a new one each month. Course I feel in order to keep it fresh, we should have a variety of people talking.
  8. True. This is especially relevant now that the 30th anniversary is coming up next year. I have a feeling it would be a good idea to really make the show more frequent for this occasion.
  9. Technically it's written down here. I think a retrospective on each installment of the series might be nice as well, especially if (when they finally get over it and fix it) love/hate format might work out well.
  10. We need to write all this down somewhere.

We can use the regular FF Talk thread to do that, I guess, once the grief in there has died down
