Glad I'm here to remind you
I really need to get back to that article...
Ageeed. I-III were great, but IV is where the series really grew the beard
IV to me will always be the entry where the series really hit its stride for me.
Agreed. I mean, I've probably played it more than most, but it's fascinating how a story that really doesn't stand out on its own can be one of the most well-constructed narratives in the entire series. Honestly, I kinda wanna play it all over again right now.
Yeah, IV has definitely been one of those overlooked entries that I grow more fond of over the years. It's partially why my introspective kind of ended when I reached it because there is just so much to say about it.
You know, now that I look back on what I've done of the marathon so far, IV pretty much nailed it when it comes to the narrative. Sure, the gameplay wasn't too exciting, and a lot of the plot was corny, but what IV had that I don't think any game in the series has had since is a great sense of focus and a narrative pace that stays consistent throughout. I mean, I've always liked IV, but I never thought I'd grow to appreciate it so much over the years.
Nice try, Rudy McRudeson
Tact is for people who put too much emphasis on formality.
