It's because she is surprisingly popular, even among this forum, I know I'm in the minority of hating her.
I mean, honestly This is especially glaring now that I've played all the games up to this like in succession. Yuffie is a terrible character. Probably the worst of the Genki Girl archetype in the series. Even recruiting her is a pain in the ass. The Wutai quest may seem interesting, but the novelty quickly runs out and it becomes tedious. She's got a terrible personality, looks awful, and really feels like she has no reason to be in the party. Even friggin' Cait Sith fits in better Why! Why is she so bad and why does the Compilation love her so much? I swear she's in every single entry, and is the only character to do that!
