BTW, for all the hate I've heard from the story (no details, thankfully)< I've heard some people compare the narrative to FFT, Vagrant Story, Tactics Ogre, and MGS3. Don't know how much of that is true and how much is an exaggeration, but it makes me even more confident that this has at least gone in a direction that I tend to enjoy
Well, that sounds cool! And yeah, I know what you mean. Back during my MA studies I was always the one in the group who pointed out things wrong with specific translations we would workshop, and though I honestly pointed out the flaws with the goal of making the translation better, it certainly didn't win me any fans. I'm kinda betting you won't be able to hold out once you have it Unless you're not buying it until you beat Setsuna. have you pre-ordered it?
I feel more people are annoyed with me because I usually do point out the negative aspect, largely because no one else will in most circumstances. In other news, I may start FFXV a bit later once I get it, I'm towards the end of I am Setsuna and tonight ended up being way less productive than I hoped for. My consolation prize was stumbling on the Developers Room, and discovering that one of Kir's weapons' is called Lucca's Wand, which is actually a hammer and an exact replica of Lucca's actual hammer.
That's pretty similar to how I think, honestly My mind has a tendency to overthink and over analyze, and the focus on the negative is something I'm just trying to actively fight against
I generally hope for the best but prepare for the worst. It's not so much that I beleive the worst outcome will happen but I tend analyze all possibilities, including the worst case scenario.
I try to keep a balanced approach. I can scare my girlfriend with how I feel that society would totally fall apart if suddenly we lost all our electricity, for example, as I'm really confident we'd all be at each other's throats no matter how virtuous we might consider ourselves right now. I'm only optimistic in the original sense of the world, really - that the outcome we have for anything is the best possible outcome that we could have hoped for in the circumstances we currently are. The hope I told you about stems more from a kind of stubbornness, really. I usually see that things can go either way, but I still want to give everything a fair chance and hope they can do good.
You're more optimistic than I am, if I'm not being accused of being cynical, then I'm being accused of nihilism.
Lol, still been ages since I'd considered myself an optimist Still, thanks
He's the party's token black mage character and indomitable optimist.
Who is Kir? Should I take that as a complement?
