Oh man. I'm so sorry. I've lost a few really close friends to cancer, and I know it must be a lot harder on you losing a family member and being stuck with a bunch of other crap to deal with at the same time. If there's anything I could do to help, please let me know.
Oh trout. I'm so sorry. The last few months have been so crazy, I completely forgot to update the EoFF people. Uhm, hmm, well there really isn't a great way to say this. I should know, I've been trying to find one for months. My brother died. In August. August 18th. We made it all the way to Texas. He made it into the hospital but uhm, he had a seizure and went into a coma and then died a few hours later. Which, I mean, this is such a crappy way of saying it. Hey, my brother died. But I just can't say 'passed away'. Like who came up with saying someone 'passes away'. It's like passing gas. Don't like that phrase either. So yeah. That happened. And then my mom left my stepdad and now our family is split in two. I'm with my mom in Tennessee and my sister and other brother are in Kentucky with my stepdad. Lots of crazy things going on atm. :/

Yeah. It's ridiculous. I'm having a hard time stopping myself from going off on them.
It has been my experience that "godly" families are usually far more hypocritical than your average Christian-raised family. As in, those who push their beliefs on other people and assert that "god will make everything better" (or say that it's "god's will' that s/he DIDN'T get better; assholes) are less down-to-earth and more irrational than those who say "I'm sorry and I hope someone finds out a way to help soon."
Yeah, but having that opinion is one thing, calling the cops is another thing. I'm like completely shocked that they would do this. This supposedly Godly family who's been in church for their whole lives and lives by the bible and such. Just like, as a semi-religious person myself, I could never imagine calling the cops on someone for a reason as simple as that. My brother has more tumors than he has lungs left, so of course he's going to sound horrible on the phone. He has two tumors on his jaw, one that is growing INSIDE his mouth, he can barely open it to speak, so yeah, you aren't going to be able to really understand what he's saying unless you're around him enough to get used to it.
They have to try and make it seem like you aren't doing a good enough job to cover up the fact that deep down they know they aren't doing trout themselves. They push blame on others so they can feel better about themselves (even though they know they're wrong, which just makes them more passionate about trying to shift the blame) but it's only because they don't know what else to do. It's like in child custody cases where one parent wants to keep their child because they've been raising them correctly and teaching them proper world ideals etc. but the other parent wants to take control just so they can have a victory over the other parent as if to prove to society that they're a good parent. It's not their fault. They just don't know how to be any better.
Yeah. It's pretty freaking ridiculous. It's his moms sisters daughter and apparently his moms sister is agreeing with her daughter. His mom died when he was 11, he's 28 now, and my mom has raised him since then. His moms family never took an interest in him and my other brother, they weren't there when we were growing up or anything, but when he got sick they immediately wanted to know everything about them and how they were and all that stuff. Since my brother was diagnosed in March of LAST YEAR they've been to see him twice. Just twice. They know my mom has been taking care of him, and it really hurts my feelings because I've been helping her just as much. WE have been taking care of my brother the last year and a half, they haven't. And for them to say that we aren't doing a good job and to call the cops? That's just ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.
She called the cops and insinuated you were neglecting him because he had phlegm in his voice? What the smurf? Does she have the IQ of a dead squirrel?
