I mean, sure, I can close a thread and edit people's posts if I feel like it, but people certainly don't look to me when for help when a meteor threatens the lives of all on this planet.
Probably because you guys are so well known that it creates the illusion of power. Plus from your italics and boldness, you do have some power. I got along well with DD but he's apparently banned again so now I have to be super social because my entertainment for the day is gone now.

Yes, most definitely. When I first saw you post I thought you were an older member who came back. You seem to be very comfortable here, and most new members seem skittish and try to make a name for themselves as soon as they register.

Yeah, it can be pretty intimidating the first few visits. I remember when I was new, I went in there a lot and generally tried to be funny, but came across as way annoying. Everyone hated me. xD Most everyone is really friendly though, and it's a great way to meet people from the site.
I went once and everyone said hi to me and I got spooked and left.
