Well, the children are extant characters, but they are underdevelped. Which I thought was a pity. The only thing is I found Henry a more compelling character than Alex, so I conflated the best elements of both games. You can see playthroughs of all five games on Youtube. Cheaper than renting them at least. I post most of my fanfics on fanfiction.net. I have about a dozen so far, ranging from anime to video games. I have a link in my siganture file as well.
Owait. I was thinking Resident Evil. I have no clue why. I've never played any of the Silent Hill games though either. Ah, okay, so you're using original characters. I'd love to read it when you're finished and give you some feedback, although I know absolutely nothing about the series other than the fact that there is a giant zombie guy that looks really scary.
The town where SH5 is set. The main character is Alex Shepard, who is decended from one of the founders of the town, hence the name. I don't want to spoil it for you, so lets just say that the game begins with him returning there after being treated for combat-related PTSD.
I've only played a little with my girlfriend on the Wii, so I don't know much about the original story. P: What is the Shepard's Glen?
The main characters are Henry and Eileen, but they wind up in Shepard's Glen. There they meet the 'children of the damned', as it were.
