Do you work with small children?
Dun see it as a form of discipling, treat it like guiding or mentoring! You should teach all students of all type then you might truly grow!!
Agreed, but I don't enjoy disciplining. Plus in Piaget terms I prefer students who are formal operational (translation: abstract reasoning).
Redirecting their behaviour is a form of learning for them isn't it!? In a sense you are helping them to learn too!
I wasn't that they weren't cute, it's just I just didn't want to spend so much of my time redirecting behavior and less time on instruction. I admire anyone who can do it.
You will find the adorable side of them if you teach them long enough!
Subbed in a middle school for three weeks. That was enough for me.
Have you even tired teaching small kids instead of teenagers or adults?
By and large yes. It takes a certain kind of disposition; not everyone has the patience for it. I find it fufilling when people understand something new, so it's rewarding for me.
Wow? Is it very fun and challenging?
