  1. Ha, I saw that and thought of me too.
  2. I saw this on Post Secret and I thought of you!

  3. Good 'cause I hate flash. It ruins everything.
  4. Don't use flash!

Or if you do, use a separate flash unit rather than the built in flash. The built in one is dinky and not worth using. If you get a lens like the 50mm 1.4 (or the cheaper 1.8 version) you can get away with almost never having to use flash, except in the darkest situations.
  5. I think I'll go with a Canon rebel then, since I don't mind a huge camera. I already have a point-and-shoot I like anyway. I'm looking to become one of those housewives that fancies herself a photographer just because she has a nice camera.

Any recommendations for what to do about flash softening with a rebel? I hate bare flash with a fiery passion. xP
  6. Well, that's if you want to go with the micro four thirds. If you go with a intro dslr like the Canon Rebel, you'll get better photos, but it's going to be a bigger camera. The other bonus of going with the regular dslrs is that you'll have a huge range of lenses to choose from. The micro cameras are really new and so there aren't a ton of lens options for them yet. Sony is supposed to come out with like 6 new lenses in the next 2 years. So slowly the options should start growing. And I'm pretty sure Canon and Nikon will get in on the game too. Any canon lens will work with any Canon DSLR and same for Nikon. Right now, a micro four thirds lens is ONLY compatible within that same series of cameras unless you buy a separate mount.

For a DSLR, I'd recommend the Canon rebel series and for a standard point and shoot the Canon g11. For the micro four thirds, there's also the Olympus PEN which I *think* is cheaper than both the Panasonic and the Sony.
  7. Hmm... I am going to have to read up more on lenses. Maybe take a class. I need more sexy photos of Disneylaaaand!

I should be picking from between Amazon.com: Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 12.1MP Micro Four-Thirds Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera with LUMIX G 20mm f/1.7 Aspherical Lens: Camera & Photo and Amazon.com: Sony NEX5 basically?
  8. Micro four thirds!! Look into the Panasonic GF1 or the Sony NEX5. They're like these perfect like hybrids of a point and shoot camera and a DSLR. I looove mine.
  9. Gonna ask for a fancy camera for my birthday. Tell me what to get. Just pick for me. Big, fancy, beautiful camera! Or maybe a slightly cheaper one and a cool lens?
  10. Seriously.

Morganville Vampires is decent because the vampires are actually *gasp* the bad guys! :o
