Apparently my usernote is too long, so you get two for the price of one today! Well, the issue is that I often incorporate instruments that I don't have into my songs. I don't have a bass, so I have issues with that. I've tried playing the bass track on an electric guitar with no pedals - just a clean channel - and then detuning it an entire octave digitally with an autotune, but it doesn't give that thick, slappy tone that a bass gives. None of my friends are willing to give up their basses for any amount of time, so I've been unsuccessful in recording any bass tracks ever. I also incorporate violins, synthesizers, and pianos, but I don't have them either, so those songs can't be recorded until I have access to those instruments or flexible samples of those instruments that will work properly.
You should totally post more, I'd like to hear whatever else you have. I play bass and guitar pretty well, I can make do with other stringed instruments. What about yourself? And it totally is, I've spent tons of hours just fiddling away on it with different riffs and songs and beats and such. But I guess I work differently, I usually come up with something in my head and then just get it down in GP without even touching an instrument. xD
Thanks! I don't post my songs much, so it's really neat having some feedback on one for a change. Hahah, I know what you mean. Do you play all string instruments? Guitar Pro is very convenient, and it's addictive as hell. It's super fun to take the midi sounds and make them sound all silly. It also helps organize songs! When you have an idea, pull out the recorder and get it down, then pick it back out later and copy it into the spreads on Guitar Pro. A lot of my ideas come from actually seeing the sheet music in front of me.
You're welcome. It was really good! I play a couple instruments actually, but I've been slacking on that for some time now. Composing is just easier since I can just stay sitting at my computer.
Hey, thanks for the music appreciation! Do you play guitar personally, or is composing more your game?
It warms my heart to hear you say that I remind you of Kefka.
That heartburn comment kinda reminds me of Kefka. I've never beaten the game, but I've seen all kinds of fandom on the subject and it just made me think of him XD
I don't like the sound of it, I hope I never have to feel it.
Well, it's KINDA like heartburn, but different. You'll know it when you feel it.
What is this.... remorse, you speak of?
