  1. I think it's also cause i know what I can actually get instead of missing everything haha. I've already gotten every blue magic I could for Quina before going to Bermucia. Even the stuff you shouldn't be able to get unless you backtrack otherwise it's disc 3 xD I think I know TOO much this time.
  2. I noticed that's kind of the thing that happens with games you know well. I actually make progress at a slower pace because I know it so well and I get less enjoyment. I found that actually trying something new instead of constantly replaying old stuff got me way more hooked XD
  3. I still haven't even played the first one. I hardly play any games anymore. I'm still on "disc one" of the Steam IX and i got it when it came out a few weeks ago xD And I know that game like the back of my hand! I did convince dalton to try the overwatch beta last night though, he loved it.
  4. It might be wise to give it some time, true.

(THOUGH I KINDA WANT YOU TO READ THEM NOW BECAUSE I WANNA SQUEE WITH YOU XD)

But yeah, i haven't read a lot of crime, and the draw for me here was mainly the characters.

Oh! Also! I'm close to being done with Bravely Second so I should have a review up as soon as that happens!
  5. Oh no, I liked it just not lovvvved it like I did the HPs. I've been reading a lot of crime stuff lately since i've been trying to write in the genre and it was just a kind of basic crime plot to me. I plan on reading the next few but I think i'm going to give it some time.
  6. THough honestly, I'm kinda surprised you didn't like it too much, since it was about on par with HP for me when it comes to how engrossing it was. But still, I think she's improved immensely with the sequel. The first one did have its flaws, as I think the mystery was a bit disjointed, what with all those people just saying things, barely even connecting into one coherent whole. The second one has my favorite mystery so far, as it's really gruesome, incredibly fascinating and, most of all, much easier to follow as the circle of people involved is much tighter and you get to know the case much more in-depth than the first one, IMO. Might be my favorite of the bunch, I think, HOWEVER, if that's the case, then only by a fraction because the third book is all about delving deep into Robin and Strike's personal matters and character development. it's the book that cemented Robin as my favorite character in the books (though I still love Strike a lot, the book just gave Robin a lot of focus and she's pretty much the protagonist this time around, with Strike acting as the deuteragonist, not the other way around), possibly one of my favorite book characters of all time.

It may just be a thing with JK. Like, with Harry Potter, I hadn't really gotten so involved until Prisoner of Azkaban - PS and CoS were both really good books, but they just didn't have that quality and took me much longer to get through than PoA, despite being shorter. Same with Cuckoo's Calling - it took me the longest to get through, though it was by no means bad.
  7. I liked the first book, though the sequels are defo better
  8. I FINALLLLLYYYY finished Cuckoo's Calling.

To be honest, I wasn't that impressed. I had to make myself read it and finish it. The mystery was good but I felt it was really slow moving and a bit too fluffed up in parts. I also wasn't a big fan of the back and forth dialogue with no tags, just page and page of just dialogue.

I'm interested in reading more in the series but definitely in a time further in the future me thinks.

Funny cause I love the HPs.
  9. They've even released school early in preparation for this storm system about to hit. Crazy day in Tornado alley!
  10. I have such a hard time focusing at work. Normally I browse the interwebs while here.

I discovered amazon cloud reader. I can read my ebooks form a browser.

I finished my warcraft book and am 10% further in Cuckcoo's calling (I put it down when warcraft books came out, sorry not sorry) Still procrastinating at work but at least this way I'm reading haha and I can sneak plain text better than websites such as EoFF
