Oh smurf, that place. He might be tamer in this version but don't underestimate the boss of this dungeon. The dungeon was kind of annoying as well but I remember that boss was kind of a difficulty jump in the original.
Ugh, don't you hate it when they do that? So basically everyone's always excited the bridge is opening tomorrow but when you rest at the inn, it's always the same day. So I went in and stopped the clock in the tower and now I'm sucked into a painting.
Yeah, it's the final dungeon. We're going to get Sera but she's setting traps for us since she doesn't want us to reach Nirvana anymore. I can't really remember the Groundhog Day Loop town.
Ooh, the climax! Right? Was that the final dungeon? I can't remember. I just know that it was looping. So it appears this town has a Groundhog Day Loop! Noooooooooo
So kinda like in GQVI
Style is mainly for this mini-game though if it's high enough, it does distract enemies.
Oh really? We'all see how that goes. Style has been a useless stat so far, but it just so happens that Maribel just became a Luminary.
The reference is an added bonus, he's just you're typical eccentric artist in the original. On the brightside, his town opens up the fashion show mini-game which is great.
Okay, so I reached this town with the clocktower and everyone is speaking with Spanish phrases thrown in and I kinda love how the architecture and this "El Maestro" character who seems to be an integral part of this storyline are pretty clearly based on Antoni Gaudi's work. It made me squee because it reminds me of our trip to Barcelona so much. I kinda wish they'd done more research though as Gaudi was actuallya pioneer in that all of the stuff he designed was way more comfortable and human-friendly than anything at the time, and yet in the game they complain that this dude makes stuff for art's sake and forgets about people, but eh, I'll take it. I'm still incredibly happy with the reference.
Maybe in the future but I'm not in a rush. I still have the original after all. It will probably be lumped together with DQVI as a Christmas gift or something.
