It's been interesting. I feel like I was doing better in my first playthrough, but I was also coming off of Nocturn at the time and a bit thrown off how easy DDS is in comparison. I'm already dreading getting Gale and Ceilo in my team because as it stands, Heat and Argilla are seriously rocking and I've got a great build going on right now. Of anything, I'm mastering Mantra faster than I can collect money to purchase new ones. I do feel like I need to pay more attention of upgrading the ammo for guns. Loving the story so far, but this game always had a really cool and unique premise.
I think that's actually where my first playthrough ended Enjoyed the second one much more!
True, but I guess it never bothered me. Course I'm not the type to really flaunt a relationship, so I've had times where I was dating someone and none of my friends knew. Well I seem to be missing a PS2 memory card which contained my files for most of my PS2 MegaTen games. Because I would rather track down the card then start over on Raido/Devil Summoner, I decided to restart Avatar Turner/DDS instead because it's been long enough since I played it that I was probably going to have to start over on it anyway. I've almost caught up to where I left off which was infiltrating the Solids base after making an alliance.
I'm going platonic in BGII this time, actually But I mean it was just weird when Rise kept hitting on me in my first playthrough even though Yukiko was my girlfriend. Not to mention Yukiko was still behaving totally oblivious in story scenes despite the social link having ended. If there's less of that, if the game doesn't really try to ship anyone, I would be fine with no story integration.
Just wait for the port of the game. They'll probably do a female for that one. I've never been bothered with the romance in the main story aspect. Even in games like Mass Effect, your dating option always felt like a side thing than something relevant to the story as a whole. I'm actually thinking of going platonic for P5.
Yes! That would be awesome. And I would love for the romance you choose to actually be reflected in the main story, but I'm not holding my breath. Pity that there's no female protagonist option, though. But I agree, there is hope for a gay option and I'll be happy if there is one.
I'm kind of hoping for a gay option in the game. Though I feel it would be cool to also play matchmaker and make it possible to hook your own party up with other characters.
I have noticed that the characters look like they're very inspired by Innocent Sin and I like it! The protag is definitely a Tatsuya expy thanks to the whole delinquent thing, then Ryuji has a skull motif like Eikichi, Anne is the part-foreign girl that is blonde and blue-eyed, etc. Though there seems to be less animosity between Ryuji and Anne, so that's kind of cool, but yeah, the core personalities look similar. And then that kid from the other school even has bangs like Jun! I wonder if they'll go all-out and make him a full-on gay option this time around!
I keep forgetting that's coming out soon. Probably why I'm seeing so much news for it lately.
In hindsight, the party dynamics of the game are very similar to P2: Innocent Sin except with a talking mascot character instead of Maya. The four starting characters have very similar personalities and relationships to Tatsuya, Eikichi, Lisa, and Jun.
