Conversation Between Fynn and Pumpkin

  1. Honestly in my game I'd be happy with either 3 ladies in gen 3. The first 2 there was always one girl I absolutely did not want to end up with, but I'm good with all of them this time around. Wonder how gen 4 is going to be

Personally for yours I'd go with number 2 or 4, but I almost always prefer romancing ladies (except Frederick in FE:A). They seem to interest me the most. Probably number 4 but you said that might be too typical for you so then my second would be number 2. But the gay option might be pretty interesting to try!
  2. I think I'd go with girl number 1 since I like me some stories of prejudice But they all sound cool, so I guess you'll be okay no matter who you choose? The third sounds like a typical genki girl - not really a type I particularly enjoy, but I guess you can't have too much positive energy

As for my romance options, I have five. All the girls are elves of some shade

Girl 1 is Aerie and she's a lawful good winged elf who lost her wings and was taken in a circus. She liked her gnome foster father a lot, but she still spends a lot of time angsting. She was my character's love interested the first time around and while I really loved the storyline, I don't think I wanna do the same thing again. She's also a cleric/mage which is a phenomenal class combo. Here's a portrait:

Girl number 2 is a true neutral half-elf fighter/druid, Jaheira. She's basically the first girl you know, since you meet her early in BG1. Her romance is complex since she just lost her husband. I'm a bit iffy about this one since her husband was also a friend of the main character, so while it's interesting with all her moving on, etc. it just doesn't feel right for me. Then again, it's one of the options for playing against type, eh? Also, she's the resident tough guy/action girl, so that's interesting.

Girl 3 is Viconia. She's a neutral evil drow (dark elf) cleric. See, in the Forgotten Realms, the drow are an always chaotic evil race who love underground. Viconia, even though she's evil herself, has decided that drow society is too evil for her and now she faces discrimination on the surface. Apparently, through the romance you can redeem her, and she's one of the most mean spirited characters, but that's also kinda the way she expresses affection.

Girl 4 is one of the newcomers in the enhanced edition. Neera is a half-elf chaotic neutral wild mage. As such, her magic often gets out of control and from what I'd gathered, that's what most of her storyline centers about - accidentally destroying things and feeling guilty about it, not to mention being hunted down. She's pretty quirky and adorkable, but I guess romancing her would not be out of character for a character I usually play.

Lastly, there's Dorn, the evil half-orc I told you about. He seems pretty interesting, in that he is unapologetically evil and murderous, but at the same time very honorable and loyal, and also faced prejudice in the past, because half-orcs are descriminated against by humans and orcs alike. I think I'm kinda leaning toward him now, since I don't normally go for the gay option, plus he's really evil and I'm curious as to how this will develop. Though I'm still not interested in him that much more than the others, so I still need to do some mulling over.

  3. I don't think I'm playing any with romances right now. I'll need to correct that soon! But I am almost done Tears to Tiara. When I got it I expected it to be one thing and it turned out to be something different, which at first I was like ehhhhh, but it turned out actually pretty great so I'm glad I got it

I should finish up Agarest War though soon so we can send the xbox back to sharky's work. I'm at generation 3 which means I have the choice between 1) Girl with awful hair and fashion sense, a bit cold, but actually has a lot of depth. She was basically a victim of racism because her mother is a "dark elf" (subtle, I know) and her father was a light elf and she looks like a dark elf, which are hated by the other elfs. So she left the village to make life for her family easier so they wouldn't suffer from her discrimination. 2) Her sister who is pale and blonde and sweet as a kitten. She really looks up to her sister and left the village when she found her sister again, basically saying she chooses her over the village. And 3) Cute adventurer girl with really high self-esteem, although kind of a noob at the whole adventurer thing, but she's very positive and upbeat and doesn't let anything get her down.

Who are your romance options? Or at least who are they narrowed down to?
  4. Tell me about it It's even harder when I'm trying to play against type this time. I gotta keep reminding myself that this isn't me and this character has a differ t moral compass.

And how are your game romances coming along?
