You seriously think people that insult your morality have the potential to make "great friends"?
I know respect out of fear isn't the best thing on the world (although it is in some cases for people that don't know when to stop joking around) but it's the next best thing to respect. Some people are better off being random people that fear you and tell other non serious people to back away from you than being friends that'll just joke around with you all the time and don't know when to stop, as harsh as it sounds. I actually don't have many friends in real life. The few friends I do have are serious enough people that try to get close to me and people that I knew from way back then. The few friendships that I make end up lasting a long time though so it works out in the end. As for getting respect, being nice to people and trying to help them out doesn't work especially when they never ask for help or when they just stay in their group of friends and shun you all the time.
If you get too close to people who aren't that serious they'll joke around with you too much though. Especially when it comes to sensitive topics like your beliefs or your family. Even if they are a nice person it's better to have them respect you out of fear than out of friendship.
I know this sounds cold, but I'd prefer it if some people would respect me for being a serious, mysterious, hardy person than for being a soft sensitive person. There are some people out there that would respect me more that way. If they get too comfortable with me they start treating me like a joke and stop listening to and respecting me.
I still find nicknames annoying though...
I just want to make sure that I have a name that people will be taking more seriously.
So do you think I should get rid of my name Evastio? Lately I've been getting really tired and annoyed at all of the comments and insults people make regarding my name.
It needs more of both.
