It's good for killing time when bored. I can't just stare at my textbooks, I need to look at something different in between sections to give my brain a rest and process everything, so tvtropes is pretty good for that! Plus I am here for another 8 hours with 80 minutes of that being class time
Tvtropes is so easy to get hung up on, isn't it >.< I'll make sure to remember to congratulate you
Only one class today so I am doing homework and reading tvtropes. It's my birthday soon so I am excite
Pretty alright, thanks. Trying to get back into university gear. How about you?
hey, how be things?
Not the last time I played but maybe recently. I hope so, it'll make it easier for me to play. And when games have that option, those who want a challenge can have access to that to. It seems to be becoming a more common thing so hopefully it'll stick
Indeed! Difficulty modes are a great thing to have to make your game more accessible. Although on that note I think FF XIII eventually had an easy mode patched in or something, didn't it? =P Edit: Ah no, unfortunately it wasn't patched in, it's exclusive to the "International" edition of FF XIII. Goddamnit Japan.
It can certainly be frustrating for not good players like me. But I enjoy it. I'm pretty awful at Breath of Fire III and Dragon Age Origins lately! Thank goodness for difficulty modes on a lot of modern games
Yeah the way FF XIII *makes* you engage with it is something I quite respect it for. Though at the same time I can easily agree that the execution of that concept is pretty flawed, too. Hello sudden death attacks that can't be avoided if you don't know of them ahead of time!
Hi! I can, yeah. I think a lot of RPG's have the problem of Press X to win. Magic is cool and useful but isn't sustainable when doing the main story of a new game because you don't know when you'll get an inn or whatever and most limit your magic and magic restoration. When I play XIII I personally have to be much more involved and watch the combat and pay attention to white I'm doing. With most others I can do homework while holding down the attack button and looking up every once in a while to make sure I haven't died. So I think XIII definitely adds more depth that a lot of RPG's are lacking
