Conversation Between Fynn and Wolf Kanno

  1. I recently saw an episode of Loose Canon where Lindsay took a look at how Aphrodite has been represented in the media, and oh boy, was God of War something. That's kind of the thing that makes me not want to play it - it's this blatant, shameless, male sex and violence fantasy that's just something I never got. Heck, I'm much more interested in playing Bayonetta someday, as the sexiness there seems so over the top it's almost a parody of this kind of thing.
  2. They're funny, I enjoyed what I played of them but it was not the type of series I was going to collect the whole series. I think it helped that the first time I played it was watching a friend play it as a group and we all took characters to voice and turned it into a fun group activity with out bad dub job.

God of War never set well with me either. I think I have one of the collections for the PS3 but I really couldn't get into it, and if I want a brutal action game, Devil May Cry is better.
  3. Haven't played God of War either. And despite my love for classical mythology, I'm kinda not interested in playing it either

But who knows, maybe I'll give Castlevania a shot one day. My brother wants me to, at least. I still haven't finished the Ace Attorney games after he lent them to me. I really don't get the hype those games receive
  4. Well even Castlevania wasn't always a metroidvania style game. It didn't get that moniker until Symphony of the Night. Not to mention Lords of Shadows is more of a God of War clone than Castlevania title.
  5. Well, maybe calling them sidescrollers is a stretch, since they don't really qualify as Metroidivania, but among games with a side-view perspective that I really like are the old Mario games, but much more than that, Warioland (2 and 3 especially are my childhood). Now there's a series nobody played!
  6. Such as?
  7. Idk, it just never felt that appealing to me. Sidescrollers in general are not my thing, though there are exceptions.
  8. Why not?
  9. But everyone has, really. Even my brother has, and I know a lot of people around here that love the series - and remember, we're talking Poland, one of the gaming ghettos of the world. It's just that I personally was never that drawn to it
  10. I feel like I should be surprised, but lately it seems like Castlevania might have just been a school chum friend thing for me. Most of my friends have played the series, so I just felt like everyone has.
