  1. Well, whether it comes back or no, I'll keep trying. I came too far to give up.
  2. You'll get your groove back. Sometimes you just need to take a break I feel.
  3. It just kinda makes me worry that I've burned myself out. Idk, I really hope I'm wrong. We're going to the mountains for the long weekend that's coming up - who knows, maybe that will bring the feeling back?
  4. I get you. I'm the same way with my novel. I wrote the first 10 chapters in a few months with no real issue besides trying not to get distracted. I finally reach a part that I've been wanting to write for ages, and in the course of six months, I've written maybe a few paragraphs every few weeks, and I already want to rewrite the whole section because I can tell I'm forcing the issue instead of enjoying it.

Usually when I get like this, I try to immerse myself in the things that inspire me but that leads me to get distracted as well, so it's been a viscous circle for awhile now. Some days I get into a groove and it all works out, some days I'm struggling.
  5. I don't really know what I'm missing at this point. My original chapters 1 and 2 took me a day each, and now it seems like I can barely ptoduce a paragraph. I just can't get in the zone. Something keeps making me unable to concentrate even if I pay attention not to go on the Internet or anything
  6. I'm sure we will. Of anything, this lesson is trying to make me return to an old routine I did two years ago. I think that's what I'm missing.
  7. Don't worry, man We'll get there!
  8. Tell me about it. To be fair, my work week has been ramping up more than it has in the past which started this weekend, so I probably shouldn't have made the deal to begin with...
  9. We gotta get our trout together, man
  10. Lol, well I failed as well. I got some other projects finished, worked most of the weekend, and starting reading the second Vampire Hunter D novel instead of critiquing.
