Yeah So now we just gotta race each other to the top
I feel that's what we all want.
He does, doesn't it? But my book still needs to fulfill a couple of criteria to make it real - it needs to get published, and he needs to read it AND like it. And those are some serious odds. Now, don't get me wrong. While I may realize the chances for it all are next to none, I'll still do everything in my power to get my book out there. The scenario is nice and an unrealistic fantasy, but by God, I want to be a known published writer and I want my story to move people around the world!
I feel if you stay positive about it and work at it, you're at least halfway there. Hell, your novel wouldn't even have to be popular, del Toro would just need to like it. He strikes me as the type who would email you to fanboy over someones work.
Yeah right Easier said than done
See, now you just need to make your dream come true.
So today I had a dream that my book was super successful and I was famous and met Guillermo del Toro and we nerded out about anime and games and decided to make an anime (I think it was Eva?) adaptation that he would direct and I'd write the screenplay. He was super nice.
Ev had a profound effect on me. It helps that it was a series I discovered in my impressionable years. Probably one of the reasons why I took to Xenogears so well. I certainly see it in my writing.
Well, here's hoping everything goes well and it will get made. I'll probably have kids by the time it's out though So, as I've been looking through TV Tropes, I noticed that Eva has actually inspired me creatively quite a bit. Interesting how I notice now, not sooner
I'm concerned it will never get made, especially since Anno is apparently so high strung when dealing with the franchise. It will be interesting to see where it goes from here though. I'm sure Kaworu will reappear. I'm curious to know what became of Kaji.
