I'm pretty sure that's just a difference between the two versions though. Your party seemed to handle all the fights well enough!
I just fled from battles that were just going to take up too much time (the flans for example) Dang, my party never dealt damage over 600 and I needed to cast haste to get that high.
Fighting the flans was a whore, none of my team could damage them properly xD But yeah I was really hurting for damage dealing ability. Luckily I had collected some Hermes' Shoes which hasted my Knight so he was hitting 1000+.

Way too many mages. A Black Mage is probably useful for groups of enemies, but that drives up the cost of magic. I used two Monks to try and keep my need to upgrade equipment to an absolute minimum but their damage output was completely smurfing random. Against the Fiends and Chaos, they would only hit higher than my Knight before I got the Masamune. After that, they only sometimes hit three digits. It was frustrating as all hell.
Good competing with you, Jiro Definitely. I first started with Fighter, Red, White, and Black mage and that didn't work out too well. Changed to what I have now and cut my time in half.:freak:
I don't want to do all of that again. I am happy to concede to your impressive skills. Not bad for a first timer! Finding the right party set up is pretty important.
