Wow, i never knew you have these awesome threads and blogs going on! Gonna read them!! These japanese companies like using Caucasians for their game characters and a western setting. Sometimes i thought Silent Hill is from a western company. Silent Hill thus far! Trying to get the courage to watch Fatal Frame though.
That's the one. SH2 is my fave followed by the original on the PS1. SH3 has some good moments, but was a mixed bag overall. I still need to do a fully playthrough of SH4. I've only played the demo back in the day, but I do own it. Not sure I'll bother with the Western developed ones because they all have issues that bother me, but who knows? What scary games have you liked/played/watched?
I heard Slient Hill can live rent free in your head for very long after playing it. Slient hill 2 is the one with Pyramid Head, right? That one is about dealing with self guilt from the videos I watched.
I have a fairly high tolerance for horror I've learned, so most don't really scare me. Probably Fatal Frame since it uses jump scares a lot, but I feel like SH2 stayed with me longer. Like it never scared me, but it's mood certainly lingered with me after I stopped playing.
I like it but I am extremely terrified of it. Thanks to youtube and streamers nowadays, i preferred to watch them play rather I do it myself. What is the scariest one you played thus far?
I've been dabbling in the genre for years, but have not played as many as I would like. I still need to finish my playthrough of the first Amnesia game for instance, and I would like to check out Siren again since all I've played is a demo years ago. I take it you like Horror games?
I got Trials of Mana last year! The combat and gameplay have greatly improved! Duncan's abilities are so much better as compared to the original! You are into the horror games genre too!!??
No not yet, I picked up the Trials of Mana remake instead. Been exploring SE's non-FF related stuff the last few years like SaGa, Front Mission, and the Mana series. I'll get back to my scary games soon. I'll restart Fatal Frame after I finish Silent Hill 4.
FATAL FRAME 2 is so scary!! It was that one that scared the trout out of me and get me back to potty training back then! Did you get FFX/X-2 remasters??? Monster Creation sounds so fun!!!
I played them back in college with a friend. Never personally finished them, but that can change since I now own the first two games at least. I need to take advantage of the Golden Week sales and see if I can grab some remasters.
