Sure :o Philosophically, pessimism basically says things are trout and we're being fooled if we think otherwise. Nihilism, as you know, says that value judgments such as that are entirely meaningless.
I'd normally PM you but I don't see the point: Do you know if there's any actual difference between philosophical pessimism and outright nihilism? They are defined differently for sure - would you say nihilism incorporates pessimism but you can be a pessimist without being a nihilist (because pessimism shouldn't have such a scope?)
