Conversation Between Loony BoB and Jiro

  1. It's just because you seemed to reply using that comment with questions and there is no reply button on rep comments.
  2. I don't rep posts unless I think they deserve it! That's the entire point of the system! My criteria might not be exactly the same as the next person's, but I try and at least rep good posts. Geez, can't believe you're taking me for a system abuser I love the system
  3. Well, so long as you feel the post deserves rep. *nod*
  4. I said I did, when I wasn't here. You are completely misunderstanding me! I give a comment through rep because a) the post is great and b) I have something to say that cannot be added to the thread for whatever reason.

Sometimes I just feel like talking to one person, you know?
  5. But you just said you do it for other reasons than it being a great post and leaving a comment with an explanation. YOU ARE CONTRADICTING YOURSELF, SIR.
  6. It is saying "this was a great post, and here's why" and therefore is not an abuse of the system. I can't believe you're encouraging me to post off topic and alter the natural flow of a thread - and getting about it! GOODNESS I AM JUST NEVER REPPING YOU AGAIN.
  7. Rep should always be about saying "this was a great post" - if you're using it differently you should really try to avoid it. *nod* Think of it this way - I look forward to getting rep in my User CP, but I look forward to it because I love seeing which posts of mine that people love and think deserve the accolade. I get excited to know someone has repped me and if I discover it's not because I earned it, I feel a little let down... I don't feel like I deserve the rep and I lose that feeling that someone loved something that I did.

    DON'T ABUSE THE SYSTEM.
  8. Both. I'm not abusing the system, I'm using it in the best possible fashion. Sometimes, like say, in the BoB's Top 100 thread, I am late to the discussion, and so instead of diverting from the current topic, I respond to you through rep. I don't rep you unwarranted though; if I didn't like the post, I just wouldn't say anything at all.

Most of the time I comment because getting rep should be more than just collecting points; it should be something to look forward to checking in your user CP. But when I was 'away' I used rep as a means of communication because I was not posting.

    "abuse the system"
  9. So do you rep because you don't want to reply or are you repping because you think the post is good and then coming up with a relevant comment since you're already repping? Because you reply via rep a lot. >=P DON'T ABUSE THE SYSTEM.
  10. Oh I'm not interested in sexy. But they're both big, stoic, and purely male races, which is obviously not an issue itself and both cultures are undoubtedly rich, but I want to create a contrast with the first two so it doesn't seem like it will be same-same. I was considering Moogles but then I believe Bolivar is working on something re: them so I'm just toying with alternatives. Burmecian/Cleyrans are high on my list too, they have a heap of interesting features just on the surface.
