  4. Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it
  5. Totally understand, my own novel is something I've been doing since Middle School and it's become so much of me at this point that I can't ever put it away for too long, nor can I give it up. So I understand. I think you just need to step back and either work on something different in hopes it will rejuvenate you or think about what it is you're not happy about with the current version. I've done both before in my moments of doubt.
  6. Thanks

I've been writing this story in my head since I was 5 and there's been countless writes and rewrites. I went through some stuff growing up so I invented this world as kind of like my happy place, I guess. A fantasy world to get away from it all. So I think that writing it just... it's such a big part of me that if I fail at it, it's a bigger deal than a different story I just started writing last year or something.

I don't know how much sense I'm making but hopefully I'm getting my point across xD
  7. Maybe what you need to do is take some time away from the story and just delve into the things that inspired you to write it in the first place. I can tell you that having doubt about a story is very common and natural. It's at these times that a good writer needs to step back and choose to re-evaluate the story or stick to their guns. Maybe it's just that time for you.
  8. It's the truth.
