  1. Honestly some of them are so small you might not even notice them, especially if you're walking around.

I wish I could win the lottery so I could study forever and travel all the time. But that would involve buying a ticket, and I'm too lazy to even do that.
  2. Hell, maybe you did and I didn't recognise it!

Pshaw, just roll it into the student debt. What's another couple thou?

    No time like the present!
  3. That's surprising, we have earthquakes, like, every two weeks.

Definitely keen, although I will still be a poor student, or recovering from being a poor student, so you're paying :P

I originally wanted to do TEFL or TESOL but never did, I wish I had!
  4. 100,000%. I love getting to figure out new cultures, and architecture, food, and language all paint the picture.

I'm honestly shocked I never got caught in any shenanigans when I was in NZ! I was there for three months, and no earthquakes or catastrophes

yo you wanna go paris next year? I'm gonna have to head across Europe way around Augustish anyway, and it's much less work for me than having to fly all the way to feckin' NZ xD

Bahahaha I love it! Gotta use that PhD for something, eh? I am very glad I did the TEFL thing early on.
  5. Architecture and history are my fave parts of travelling. That, and food.

I mean, it was a pretty intense dust storm. And it would be just my luck to get caught in a volcano eruption.

Yeah I think people go there with weird expectations. They don't realize that it's a proper city with its own flaws, and not every part is beautiful. But I really loved it and would be so keen to go back.

I'm jealous that you lived there - I've never lived outside of NZ and I would love to do that, even if only for a while. Maybe that's why I've been a bit overzealous at researching places to go to study for my PhD, even though I haven't even finished my Masters yet :P
  6. Man, I love me some nice architecture. I'll have to get Chiang Mai in; it was in deliberation when I went to Thailand, but I wanted island holiday.

A dust storm in Pompeii... or a volcanooooo?!

It's very vogue to say you don't like Paris, but any time people are questioned about it they give wanky, meaningless answers, like "it's overrated". xD I fully cities almost universally, but I like Paris. It's a wonderful city and a wonderful place. Tourists etc. are all annoying, but that's true everywhere. I lived there for half a year and it was great.
  7. That's basically all the places I've travelled tbh.

Thailand is excellent! I went to Chiang Mai and Phuket, and Chiang Mai has amazing medieval architecture in places and a great night market. Pompeii is amazing, but there was a dust storm while we were there so we had to clear out early.

I wasn't expecting to like Paris (a lot of my friends said it was massively overrated) but I felt very at home there. I spent 7 hours at Versailles :P
  8. UGH! YOUR LIST IS SO GOOD!

I never went to Chiang Mai, but I absolutely loved Thailand. I was in Koh Tao for three weeks and it was just amazing. I've not done much of the Mediterranean beyond south of France, but Pompeii sounds dope. I also need to visit Athens at some point.

I love Paris, too. It's a wonderful city, particularly in August when all the Parisians leave xD
  9. That sounds amazing!

Oooh, that's a toughie - probably Pompeii (if you're a history nerd like me), Chiang Mai in Thailand, Paris (cliche but I loved it) and Prague.
  10. I'd love to do an all-expenses stay somewhere beautiful one day. Might do something Caribbeaney or Colombiaey once COVID is a memory.

Ooh, what are the other 4 places?
