I play too much MegaTen and study some occult stuff from time to time. In traditional magic, demons are not to be smurfed with though there are ways to deal with them which do not include kicking them in the face.
Oh. I probably wouldn't be much better in that regard. Well... my demons would be stronger, at least.
Basically he misses the point of things like demons and the undead. Vampires shouldn't be as strong as freaking demons and he often borrowed from Hollywood interpretations for things like Werewolves and vampires. Joss Whedon I believe even admitted they never bothered researching anything and just made it up as they went along.
Now it's just a matter of narrowing it all down. I'm as bad as George Lucas when it comes to how far things will expand. I'll start out with just one basic story and before I know it every location on my continent is large enough to be their own freaking novel. Then there's all the telling and retellings my characters have had over the years. It's just ridiculous. btw, I was curious how you felt Buffy should have handled the occult and if we can team up to fend off the inevitable Joss Whedon fanbase that is going to jump on us for our thoughts.
Yeah, I've learned the hard way that outlining the story (and actually writing the outline out) is immensely important to getting things done more consistently.
It helps that I already know the story and how to separate them by chapter so writing them up have been easier than they normally are when I'm just winging it. And the fact that I am immensely drawn into Game of Thrones and love everything about it so I'm having fun too. Next time I try to write an original story I'll see about outlining it for a change.
That's good at least.
I don't think I have to worry about that. I've been pretty good about updating every couple of days. I think the longest update wait period was a week.
Just don't become the guy at VGCatz who updates every six months.
Oh. That. Yeah, I had a couple of "update soon!" posts. And a couple of, "Sick the Hound on Jaime!" posts. Make me chuckle.
