I always splash out for a hotel when I can. Vietnam is lovely! Definitely one of my top 5 destinations. Beautiful landscapes, great food.
I'm a big old cheapo, and I've had some absolute nightmare hostel experiences as a result. xD NZ was mostly good, though. I've never been to Vietnam, though!
Deal! I try to avoid hostels when I'm travelling, but I'll admit there was a nice one I stayed in in Vietnam.
When I eventually make it back to NZ in 2027 or whatever, I'll chef for you in exchange for not having to rent out a hostel room xD Although Wellington hostels were actually pretty nice, to be fair. Definitely among the best I had.
Indeed! I feel very popular. Yeah it's probably something I'll pay more attention to in future, I just can't be smurfed right now. I love chicken and mushroom soup, I'm jealous!
At least you feel popular now, right? I'm doing a good thing(?). tbh same here for ages. I only really got into it properly this year after realising I spent literally all my money on Uber for the previous 3 years xD chicken and mushroom soup with rice tomoz and i cannot feckin wait god i love eating so much
Yeah THANKS QUIN I have zero interest in cooking, which means that I don't have much interest in learning either. I know I should but I just... don't. That salad sounds awesome though.
I realise I've now given us two consecutive conversations. Everyone's a terrible cook to begin with. I just do what the recipe says and it tends to work pretty good. Made a quinoa berry salad with citrussy chicken the other day, and it was fully orgasmic.
I do like history! Heh, unfortunately I'm a terrible cook, so most of the stuff I spend so much time making ends up tasting "meh" at best.
It's also the oldest form of alcohol, which is cool! Who doesn't love history? Boooo! The making is the cooking; it's like a lovely song or a dance that you get to play around with plus, once you've had your fun, you get to eat tasty things! What's not to love?
