Yes! Although it took me friggin ages to get Meryl's Codec code and work out how to beat Psycho Mantis...
I'm also all for the return of exterior gaming puzzles. Codes on cd cases, switching controller ports etc! They need to bring that meta aspect back. Let it pervade every aspect of life, a game exists everywhere you look!
That's what the first level of the game is for, right? We should be married, we're just so similar! ;D
That's exactly it! I love the pictures and the smell and the words only if it's about story or characters. Instructions are unnecessary, I'll pick that up as I go.
We need to start the official manual fanclub. The strangest thing is that we love manuals, but we're men. Therefore, we don't really read them to learn what we're supposed to do xD We just go 'HELL YEAH! THAT PICTURE IS AMAZING!'
It sounds weird but I completely understand. I was in a game store a couple weeks back and one of the staff was bitching about the CoD Black Ops booklet. It's very minimalist. Black and white, only your basic controls. I think it was 5 pages and most of it was disclaimers. He was pissed and so am I, manuals are fantastic.
Well the PSP Go kinda showed that people don't really like that idea so much... And the printed out version wouldn't smell the same :[ (as weird as that sounds)
It'll stop existing if people stop making manuals; or even hardcopy games! Although they're still making electronic versions of manuals so I'll just print them out
Yeah. You've always gotta unwrap your game and sit and browse the manual before you get home from buying it. That feeling will never stop being awesome!
I don't like having electronic copies of games, so I can relate there. HAVE TO COLLECT THEM ALL. I love manuals too. Reading manuals is one of my favourite past times. It makes me so giddy!
