Pretty frickin' great! Spent some quality time with my family and some awesome games, incluiding more SMT, all the DS Dragon Quests, and the Sims 4, which I didn;t ask for, but it's pretty addicting! Also, P4 Dancing All Night is so good, omg.

No, but Grandia is like almost identical. You play a guy who is helping a girl on her pilgrimage, and there's a church that, uh... you know, and there's even a lion guy that uses a spear except he's red and actually useful in battle. It still has a way better battle system and lots of party interaction. I seriously recommend it.
Tales of Symphonia also struck me as having a similar plot to FFX when I started it. Though, admittedly, I didn't get far. And even FFX didn't have the most unique plot.
