There's titans walking the Earth, so humans are no longer top of the food chain. They closed themselves behind huge walls and fear attacks by said titans, but they also try to fight back. It's really a stunningly well written series with an intriguing plot and extremely memorable characters. You should give it a try! It's only 25 episodes now, but there's bound to be more as they end at kind of a cliffhanger and the manga is still ongoing, but I'm kinda happy there's gonna be more Just a small warning - it's a bit gory. But don't worry - you get used to it pretty quickly. Ania can't watch anything gory because it simply makes her nauseous, but she loved this series to bits and didn't mind the blood after the first episode
