The original will always be the definitive version for me. Even if the sprites are ugly and the dialogue is a bit hokey, there is just something about that opening with the Mode 7 effects and the spell designs that just feel more captivating than the remakes and ports.
I get what you mean, but I still consider them superior, especially FFIV, since it has so many other ports that try to be more faithful. FFIV DS is the only one that manages to capture all of the original's charm while coming across as far less dorky.
I don't mind the DS remakes but I do feel they are "different" from the originals. Translating the original level designs to a 3D view kind of felt weird for the DS ones but make more sense in the originals. I don't know it's hard to describe.
I'm kind of excited but also kind of cautious, cause you know the company sees FFVII differently than what it was at that time. I would actually have loved a remake akin to the DS ones. They were incredibly well done, IMO.
Meh, not my favorite entry but it will be interesting to see how they go about it. Will they change the content around or just make a faithful port with modern graphics so fans can re-experieince the odd displacement that the DS remakes of FFIII and IV gave us.

It's not so much a really intimate picture, it's just that some of the magazine covers he drew made the characters more "intimate" which in Japan terms means they are more touchy than usual but not necessarily anything a Westerner would find strange. I'm still trying to find that interview where he mentioned he wanted to ship them. The set is from Mysterious Girlfriend X, which has a bizarre premise but is actually one of the sweetest Shojo romance manga's I've seen in awhile, even if it is a bit fanservicy.
Do you have that artwork by Shigenori Soejima that had the P4 protagonist and Yosuke on it that was kinda proof that he was shipping the two? Also, I like your set. What anime is this?
