  1. Oh man, the cost of living at the mines is completely disproportionate to the rest of the country. You can basically walk in with zero education and start earning like 90k a year, so the little mining towns jack up all their prices and trout. But yeah, if you work in the mines, you still make a trout load and then you can buy whatever the smurf you want in the way of properties and crap outside of those areas. I'd have to check with some friends but even the uni accommodation is like $200/week per person and they're just tiny little rooms with a shared kitchen/bathroom/living area. The real stinger is the cost of food and stuff though. Obviously buying groceries and making food is somewhat cheaper but in a single day at uni I could easily spend $100+ on food. I limit myself obviously because wtf that's outrageous but it's that struggle between being hungry and being stark smurfing broke.
  2. What's the cost of living like over there? From what I heard if you move over there to work in the mines they help you out with accomodation and all that Jazz so it's not supposed to be quite as bad, but idk really what it's like. Mind you it's not exactly great over here as well, food and stuff is alright if you budget properly but property prices are smurfing hanging at the moment, even just renting trouthouse little flats. then again i live in an awful area for renting and whatever 'cause full on Uni town + seaside town and it drives the prices up something rotten
  3. If you live in the south of Aus it doesn't get quite as hot, but then we always have stupid smurfing weather so it might just decide to hit mid 40s in the middle of winter. It really just can't make up it's mind. The cost of living here is bollocks though, you get all this money but have to spend it all on smurfing rent and crap like that. Food. smurfing food is too expensive.
  4. yeah my uncle and his missus moved over to Aus last year and they're both working there and are on some smurfed up ridiculous salary. the amount of money is appealing for sure but I just don't want to move to australia, i don't like hot places xD never even been to the US and don't really think I will, doesn't have the appeal to me that it has to some people.
  5. Working in the mines is the dream job of most bogans anyway as it is high paying with no qualifications necessary. A buddy of mine went in off the back of his engineering degree though and was earning 150k straight up. Wtf. Can understand your logic; no matter where you're from, there's likely going to be a time when you just want to up and leave. My problem with the US is that it is the US though, they're bigger idiots than we are.
  6. can get behind that my good man, only reason i'm working trouthouse job and saving every penny and still living like a pauper is so I can smurf off out of the UK myself, had enough of it. Don't really care about the rest of europe or seeing european trout, have too many british prejudices against other europeans for that. although my mother was trying to convince me to go to bogan land and work in the mines the other day and that was a laugh as well. no. not happening.
  7. Heard horrible things about London. Doesn't interest me at all tbh. Edinburgh sounds good and I've considered it before but I wonder if Danny BoB would be able to contain his hatred. It could set up a nice showdown with the old "This town ain't big enough for the both of us" and that but I'd prefer not to get run out of the UK that quick. but I seriously need to see the world more, I'm not doing well cooped up down here and now I have a taste of travel I want more. Aus is always too far away unless you're cashed up so I just want out of here so I can have a new base and explore from there. Europe is the smurfing size of aus so I can see a lot of trout with minimal effort.
  8. yeah probably day after his reception I will get completely ratarsed and hopefully end up passed out in a park covered in my own vomit. that is always the best way! also hahaha god damn aussies in bars. actually now that I think about the two edinburgh would be an awesome place for you to end up, probably the best city in the country and certainly the only big city i'd consider living in. smurf london
  9. She promised me before she got back with him so I'm calling dibs! I refuse to be tossed like yesterday's jam. Besides nobody thinks Pontus is insane so he'll get an invite anyway I probably wouldn't drink there either 'cause I don't want to ruin his wedding but man afterwards I am gonna get tanked. I dunno maybe there's no jobs over there but newspapers are bigger and there's more of them and they're more tech savvy and at the very least the internet there is better for online stuff and I can go to european games expos and trout and if all else fails just do the aussie dream and work in a bar.
  10. sarah's throwing her +1's around apparently, she told me it was going to be ponce she was taking. i refuse to drink at his wedding though because I know I will get completely monged and ruin it so also idk about that you know there's smurf all opportunities for anything here xD but if you can get in you should do it anyway.
