  1. Wow, as for actually creating my own resources... I'd be working on the game forever if I did that. I'm a default graphics guy but focus more on custom scripting. And I can't wait until you put yours out in the open; I'll definitely check it out.
  2. I've only worked with an actual team twice, and it was much easier to deal with than on my own, so I might just hit him up on that O:

    Since that last usernote, the game has gone in a slightly new direction. Jirito sent the character art to me, and it looks beautiful. I'm switching up my in-game art style to be simpler and less defined so that the resource creation involved is much more reasonable. I'm also thinking of switching the battle system for something more like a traditional RPG.

    As soon as I have an adequate amount of resources made and systems integrated, we're going to start a publicity thread here.
  3. Ooh, I like tactics games. I've never tried to make one; I tend to stick to traditional transition battles. The system I have in Lost Chapter right now is really similar to Lunar: Silver Star Story. You can see the enemies in the area so it's not random but if you get too close, they chase you and activate a battle if they get too close.

    Jiro likes writing fantasy things, I've heard. Maybe you guys could collaborate.
  4. Well, it looked nice, especially considering that you'd only been working with RMXP for a short time.

    I mostly work on small projects. I've never finished one of my own, but I've written for a few others. Of course, those games were never completed either, which makes me kinda angsty. Right now I'm flipping back and forth between two games, trying to decide which one I want to pursue further. They're both tactics games, but the play style is different in both of them. It's mostly the setting and world structure upon which I'm trying to decide.
  5. Mostly, it was a lack of motivation to revamp it with better scripting and eventing. I suck at describing details without giving things away so here's something super vague! It's about bad ideas and the conflict of choosing whether to keep them to yourself or to rid yourself of them and risk the idea spreading.

    What kinds of stuff have you worked on? Anything serious or anything you finished all the way through?

  7. I know, that's the way I used to be; I'd make some super long events! There are a lot of things you can't do with the eventing, though. What kinds of games have you worked on?

  8. I've been an RMXP fanatic for a while now too! I'm horrible at RGSS, but I can event up a storm because I've always had to rely on it so much. I hate having to ask for help XD

    What was Hero Spirits about?
  9. I use RPG Maker XP mostly to do it. I worked on a game called Hero Spirits for a while but eventually gave it up to start a new project after I learned how to edit and write my own scripts. The new project is Lost Chapter (working title). I don't know if I'll ever finish!
