It's just the same as it is at CricketWeb. The main thing is people such as a few of us on staff were not logging in for a quick five minute browse/work because doing so would mean every thread we were tracking would get marked as read the moment we went away again that five minutes later. It's pretty junk, as much as I do love the old system it was heavily flawed for that reason. So yeah. It seems to be a love/hate thing at the moment! A lot of people have been saying "yay, we needed this" sort of things and an equal number of people have been saying "this sucks". Oddly enough, it was me who stopped it becoming a feature way back when it was first introduced - it was mucking up my User CP which I preferred to show read threads as well as unread threads (this won't happen now). But it's just annoying when I'm constantly having to try and guess which threads I have and have not read yet, so I've given in and we're giving it a go.
get rid of this stupid have to click threads to make them unread bull, no one cares, most of EoFF threads are awful anyway and it sucks you awful man.
