  1. The book is laden with misrepresentations with the whole culture, which I have a fair bit of familiarity with through my studies and friend and whatnot. Don't worry, I will be angrily highlighting every one of them.
  2. I was mostly worried as someone who (SPOILER) is in a somewhat Sub/Dom relationship that the people reading, or you as a commentator would have misconceptions about the whole thing and judge the relationships unfairly. No offense to you, not saying you're that type of person, but its hard to know how people perceive certain things. I've had members here judge me pretty harshly for it so its a bit of a sore subject. So I was worried I would read it and the commentary would be insulting to that type of relationship. I am happy to see you mention how that type of thing is between 2 consenting adults who know what they're getting in to and not one weak willed person and one bully, which is the impression of the book I'm getting from your write up.
  3. I'm glad you're enjoying it, even with the unavoidably explicit content and swearing in quotes. I am trying to make it both humorous and educational because I feel there is a lot of room to comment on how wrong E L James' information is and thus correct some common misconceptions. It's an area I'm reasonably passionate about.

If it makes you more uncomfortable as we go along, I won't be offended if you need to stop reading! Having another opinion on the thread will be excellent though, so I hope you can continue. Thanks again for reading and enjoying my work.
  4. I am reading your 50 shades of grey let's read. I enjoy your critique. I am a bit nervous to read this for reasons but so far is very enjoyable!
  5. Yeah that makes sense. It's not quite home.
  6. I am not super enjoying it here. I mean its better than a lot of third world countries but Im not from there I am from Canada.
  7. Yeah I suspect I wouldn't enjoy living in the US.

But then again the people here are not particularly nice people a lot of the time either.
  8. This is true. But I am Canadian and I am not in Canada so not only is it my instinct to apologize for everything, I do it even more now because my inner self is being bottled up in the US. People here don't apologize!

    And they're so loud
  9. It's cool, don't stress. Takes a lot more than mentioning a blog for me to get upset, darl. If it wa a touchy subject I wouldn't have even said I have one.
  10. sorry if I bugged you bringing up the tumblr thing :<
