Conversation Between Miss Mae and Ayen

  1. We're working stiffs. People are going to walk up to us and call us dull. Then I'm going to roll them up into a golf ball and work on my drive.
  2. Yeah, I have so many projects to work on at the moment that even when I get a lot done in a day I still feel stressed. The list is long.
  3. I need to kick my ass in gear to get things done earlier. Nowadays it takes me all week to finish one review and I'll stress over it all weekend until it's done.

Time to get the fourteenth inched boot.
  4. Reading straight away can definitely result in more grammar mistakes being missed, simply because you're so familiar with the work and what you meant to say that your brain will fill in the gaps for you. That's why I try to get things done well before deadlines.
  5. I know. I make sure to always proofread them after, but doing it that close after typing can cause you to miss some more obvious ones, I read. Luckily, I don't make as many grammar mistakes as I used to.
  6. You just need to be careful writing that many words when you're then immediately publishing them. I'm writing a lot this month as drafts, and then will do some hardcore editing next month.
  7. Eek. I tried doing 3,000 a day because I managed that on the first day of NaNoWriMo. 2,000 probably would have been more reasonable. I tend to average 1,000 words on my weekly reviews and I can never decide if I'm overdoing it or not.
  8. I could see the troutstorm coming, so I bailed. I get enough crap in my real life; I don't need to go actively seeking it out online. Also I've been writing about 2,000 words a day for all of July, so that's been taking up a lot of my time.
  9. I think I know why. I don't blame you. I'm glad I decided to take a break before the proverbial troutstorm.
  10. I haven't been paying attention to much of anything. I've been on the forum very little these past few weeks.
