Lol, I was joking but it would be kind of interesting to see. Get her to do music and Tatsuya Yoshikawa to do character designs. Hire Sorya Saga and Masato Kato to write it. Would be a really cool FF.
Can't tell if joking or serious Imma do it, though
Quick! To Petitions.com!
Actually, X-2 was done by Matsueda and Eguchi who I don't think have done anything substantial since. And people mostly dislike the soundtrack. And I love Hamauzu, but the addition of two other composers who are clearly not on his level to the sequels of XIII has IMO been pretty detrimental to the soundtracks. Although I can see how even Hamauzu is not to anyone's taste. I like him for the fact that you can clearly see he has a classical education and uses many impressionist elements, which are usually unheard of in JRPG music. Still, I'll admit he has been doing a lot of FF recently. A fresh face would be nice. Can we make a petition to get Kajiura on board?
I know the people actually like X-2/XIII's composer but I frankly find their work forgettable. I would really like a serious change up with both the art and music direction in the series.
Oh my goodness. That would be sick
That's true. I would love to hear Kaijura do another video game OST. Maybe FF...
Yeah, it would be nice, and I'm honestly surprised he didn't compose a theme song this time. Perhaps in the next Xeno game, and you know they're coming, considering how big a breakout hit Xenoblade was, and now X has some huge hype attached to it as well It's kind of interesting, cause now that I think about it, Xenosaga II was also Kajiura's first video game soundtrack, wasn't it? Xeno games making anime composers switch to game to great effect seems to have become the norm
I heard the team was pretty impressed with him as well. I'm sure his OST will be awesome overall since Takahashi just has a knack for choosing good composers for his games, but part of me would love to see him team up with Mitsuda again.
Yeah. The guy did a lot of popular anime music, including Kill la Kill and some Gundam, but Xenoblade X is his first VG soundtrack. Having listened to it more than once now, I am incredibly impressed by this guy.
