Yeah, social links have become too much of a feature for them to feasibly remove them. I do wonder who this new team will be. I hope it’s not the Devil Survivor team. They’re really popular for some reason but ugh
Oh I'm curious to see where the new team will take the series. There is a part of me that hopes they go in a radical new direction and move away from the Social Link system and do something completely new. Not going to happen, but would be interesting.
I think Kaneko is doing the best of the three. Like he’s no longer directly involved in any Atlus games but I kind of feel like this is where he wants to be. He’s done his art, his directing, and now he’s got a comfortable management position where he can pretty much retire lol But yeah, I’d definitely want to see what they’d do now. Also intersted to see what a potential new Persona team would do. Don’t get me wrong, I think Hashino is great, but it feels like another new era of Persona is overdue
Yeah, it would be interesting to see Tadashi, Okada, and Kaneko collaborate on a project again. I may need to check out Folklore since both Okada and Tadashi worked on it together. I remember from the demo it was low budget but interesting.
Well he does have writing credits up to 2016, but it looks like he tends to have 4-5 year gaps between projects. I’ve also heard he also writes for stuff outside of video games, so at least he continues to enjoy some success putting his talents to good use. At least he didn’t quit video games forever and resort to squatting lol
I'm surprised he hasn't been as active since leaving Atlus personally. He only has a handful of titles to his credit and many are like Special Thanks stuff, so who knows what he actually did for those titles. I still think it would be cool if they got him back to work on a mainline SMT entry as a guest writer. Maybe gave him pen a new Devil Summoner entry or something.
Ha, that was amusing. It was always weird to me how Tadashi left, but seeing how they got him to write more stuff for the EP port, I imagine he’s on good terms with Atlus. I feel he’s definitely better off now than Okada.
