I see. I haven't played the console versions myself, but the PC ones are pretty accessible, easily modified and should run on pretty much any computer, if you ever have the time and want to try it, I'd recommend RPG Maker 2003. It's got an ATB bar!
Console. I very rarely game on my PC.
I'm not saying right now, but any more serious project probably requires more people on board. You mentioned using RPG Maker 3, so was it a console version? The ones I've had for PC had a different naming scheme.

Thanks! Good luck with that friend! Hope she turns out to be an awesome person. Your thread inspired me and I think that some day we need to team up with some other people and make a game on RPG Maker. Like, a real one. Sephiroth once made a thread in Timber Maniacs about doing this but, sadly, no one save me seemed on board with the idea.
