I am extremely pissed. According to my calculations, I should be on neutral after telling the white I want to destroy the order of things. Instead, I get stuck with Gabriel and Jonathan, so I guess I'm on law. And the worst part is I can't do a thing about it now. I am stupid for not saving on a different file after the Yamato reactor and now I'm stuck on an alignment I don't want...
It usually does, though you will probably have a few sleepless nights ahead of you.
Here's hopin'...
I'm sure the deadline will help you finish the MA assignment quickly.
Thanks! I'm actually probably going to have to take a short break from writing now. My first MA chapter is due in two weeks on Friday and I have absolutely nothing so far Eden's not actually my original novel project. For now, I've put "A Fool's Journey" on hiatus, as Ive found myself quite blocked on it and inspired to write Eden. I intend to finish the former someday, but for now I decided to focus on Eden and so far it's been going really good for me. I just hope I'll get the MA work over with soon enough.
Ah thanks man, I'm hoping if I can get these projects done I'll be ready to return to my main novel. I've been so out of it the last few years that it feels nice to finally be back to writing. I hope you stuff goes well also and you are able to transition your Eden story the way you want it to.
Well, it looks like you have it all thought out pretty thoroughly. I really hope you'll stick to it, because it looks like it could be a damn good story. And I'm really happy about your poem! Actually, four pages doesn't really sound that short for a poem, to me I know you still have a bit of editing ahead of you, but you already have what I consider the hardest step behind you, which is great It's awesome that you're writing from such a personal place. From what you're telling me, it looks like all this can turn out to be a very moving experience. So keep it up! I know you have it in you
I'm still getting all the characters finalized, so far I have five central characters but I may need to build a mind map to keep all the characters straight. It was originally a short story but kind of kept growing. The two central figures are in this lifetime a man and girl in their early twenties, who had a bit of a bad blow in the previous life. The guy is trying his best to simply move on and hopes not to run into the other person in this life but fate intervenes. I usually assign music to each character, but the other are not as developed but for the two mains and the story overall.... Male protagonist - How's it Going to Be - Third Eye Blind Female Protagonist - She Will Be Loved - Maroon 5 The Reason - Hoobastank The over all theme of the story is No Doubt's -Let's End It on This While the central conflict will revolve around these two, I have three other characters helping bounce off them including a roommate, and unfortunate girlfriend, and an older friend who is the calm rational one of the group. I want to work on it after I finish my current project but I may put it on the back burner cause the poem thing is seriously putting me through an emotional wringer. I was whining earlier about not having the same mindset I did when I originally came up with the concept but that quickly changed once I got to really writing and I've been a bit of an emotional mess the last few days (the sleep deprivation isn't helping) so I'm not sure if I'm going to want to jump into another story that is based on my own past experiences but I'll see if I can write some things up for you to read. Btw, I finished the first draft of the poem last night and hope to get it refined soon and maybe send it to her before the year is out. It's only four pages, 1044 words and 25 stanzas but I'll see what I can do to edit it and improve it. The important thing was just getting a first draft done.
That idea sounds really awesome! And I know what you mean when you say it's an idea that has developed over the years. I'm curious as to how this Multi-incarnation romance will look from a narrative standpoint. If you ever write any of it and need feedback, be sure to turn to me, as you have indeed enticed me with the idea! You go write that ASAP!
Glad you understand. I have not started the new one yet, it's just a plot thread that has been slowly been constructed over the years and it kind of deals with relationships and perhaps the theme of falling out of love. The basic premise is that it is set in modern times but involves two people who have been reincarnated for thousands of years and always seem to meet in each new life. Both of them are aware of this but the centuries has led to a bunch of baggage between the two. There are other characters involved to complicate things and I kind of hope to have a lot of humor to temper some of the darker stuff but its kind of me wanting to investigate the nature of a long relationship and how it changes over time. I'm still trying to flesh out all the characters and plot threads at the moment but I'm really excited for this one because it's also a personal story I wanted to write. I'm actually hoping to convince one of my artist friends to draw it in a comic/manga fashion because I feel that would be the best format.
