  1. Basically what I've been doing. I paused the game because I had to go, but I'll finish him off in the evening. I just thought I'd missed something. If that's the way to go about him though, good
  2. To be fair, the Golem does have high defense so you won't be doing ideal damage against it anyway. . Just keep chaining your attacks, once risk hits 100% you start doing next to know damage but occasionally you will land a devastating critical hit. Also, the third part of the chain might do 1 damage but then when you get to the sixth hit, it will do 2 damage and this will start stacking so that by 20-25 of the combo you should be doing decent damage.
  3. At this point I don't really have buffing spells yet. I don't have blunt weapons either. The description beneath him says "edge@, but that's not helping, so I guess that's not a weakness? I don't know I figure I'll read more of the in game manual, maybe return to the thread for workshop tips
  4. Are you making use of buffs/debuffs? Also, try to switch around which weapons you use and where you hit him. Blunt weapons like hammers or staffs might be more useful than blades for instance. Also, how are you doing with mastering chain attacks? You might want to switch out which attack chains you are using to get better results. The Golem is kind of a teaching tool and you will need it cause the bosses just get nastier from here on out.

The Workshop is kind of a game in itself. Seriously check out the thread I linked you to cause it gives a decent overview of the basics of weapon/armor crafting in this game.
  5. I found this silver dagger that is extremely awesome against undead. And I kinda tried merging two shields and got the worse of them as a result

Also, fighting this stupid golem boss and no matter what I do, I deal only single digit damage
  6. You should find one sooner or later, especially if you are dealing with ghosts. Weapon and Armor making is pretty deep and complex so prepare yourself.
  7. Oh right, I don't think I've found a workshop yet... Hope I didn't miss it. I doubt it, though - I am pretty thorough. We'll see how it works out! I hope I'm not too frustrated with it
  8. You should try to keep weapons specified for certain enemies. Wjile you can make a weapon decent against everything it's either a crappy weapon compared to a dedicated one or it requires some serious end game grinding to make and nasty one. You will definitely want to use Workshops to build better weapons with material. Bronze and Iron can make Hagane (steel) which will make way better gear than what you probably have at this time.
  9. I don't think I have, but I'll check. I do have a couple of weapons, but haven't switched them around much yet, mostly using that Fandango blade. Hmm, maybe I should switch them up a bit...
  10. Have you found any silver based weapons yet?

Funny enough, with the exception of Dark Type enemies, the biggest threat to you are other humans. They always come in packs and they get progressively harder the farther you get in the game. I've had boss battles against Dragons and Golems that went quicker and more smoothly than some of the Crimson Blade encounters near the Cathedral.
