  1. Anyway, I'm kinda OCD myself The good thing about Tactics Ogre in that regard is that you level up jobs, not characters, so there is no real need to keep grinding everybody. On the other hand, each class has tons of skills to learn, and those are really the most important, so you still need to grind units for skill points, so my previous point is moot
  2. I never really got into Devil Survivor, the gameplay is solid but the story and characters are just not my cup of tea, especially the art style.
  3. I've never really tried those games, mostly because they're scarcely available here and there's something about the art style that's really off-putting for me personally. Same thing with Devil Survivor.
  4. Possibly, I think my other issue is that I get incredibly OCD with these games and so I grind more than is necessary. I don't think I've played FFTactics in over a decade where I didn't get most of my army to Lv. 99 and had a few of them master all the jobs. Disgaea is a nightmare for me and I kind of had to stop playing Nippon ichi games for my own sanity cause they are just one giant time sink.
  5. Maybe you just need a new one to rekindle your love?
  6. I've been meaning to start it up, it's just that I keep getting distracted and lately I've been having issues committing to the genre. I just get burned out really quickly even with games in the genre I love like FFTactics.
  7. I noticed in the SRPG thread that you said you can't get yourself to play Tactics Ogre. I've actually restarted the game recently. Before that I got somewhere late in the game and got stuck, then stopped playing for a while and forgot what the he was going on I'm putting more thought into my strategies now and it's pretty awesome, I think you should give it a go. It's kinda like a proto Tactics, but sorta it's own beast, because you control parties of 12 instead of 5, so it all plays out pretty differently. Also, if you start, don't make the mistake I made. The jobs aren't meant for changing around and swapping skills, but rather for sticking with them as long as possible - ideally, to the end.
  8. It's a top fave for me, but my heart will always belong to Macross/Robotech
  9. I only made that connection after watching it It is my number one favorite anime, actually
  10. No I love it, I was just not going to assume it was me you were talking about. Actually, when I first joined, once people learned what Kanno was referencing, everyone assumed Wolf was because I loved Wolf's Rain.
