  1. It's so good to see you back, man! That was really unexpected.
  2. Hi! How's it going? Heard you were playing the Last Story. I was curious as to what you thought of it.

BTW, thanks for mentioning the Wii U Monolith Soft game. If it weren't for your post, I would probably never have seen that trailer. And is it just me, or does this look like a Xenoblade sequel? I mean, the world looks like the one from the ending of Xenoblade, and I believe I also recognized some places from the game like Colony 9, Gaur Plain and the Eryth Sea. Or maybe it's just me
  3. Why thank you!
  4. Happy Birthday!
  5. Yeah, I've had a blast playing through the game, and with a new game + feature, I'll probably do another quick story playthrough later this year. Looks like my Wii is going to be hooked to main TV for awhile.
  6. I can't wait to finally replay this game Hopefully I'll be able to do so this summer. Will probably pick up the Last Story soon after that, too
  7. I didn't realize Tanaka was still the designer. Makes sense, I'm finally entering Prison Island the second time, mostly because the last two items I need to restore Colony 6 is in there and also because The Last Story is going to get released soon and I need to finish this bad boy up.
  8. Though I heard Kunihiko Tanaka is one of the character designers, and I guess that shows - many of the portraits of the villagers are similar to his portraits for Xenogears, and I'm pretty sure Dunban and Fiora are his - Dunban just looks like an Uzuki (beard notwithstanding), while Fiora doesn't just have Elly's hair, her facial structure is also very similar. Also, I don't know about you, when Alvis first appeared, my brother and I were both like "What the hell is chaos doing in this game?"
  9. Yeah, I've been noticing that as well, the Telethia/Wells comparison is pretty striking. Despite the character/world art director being different, the game even uses a lot of the same color palette and feel of Xenogears world. The Faced Mechon themselves are Takahashi's usual love of giant robots. The Skill tree system was also taken out of Xenosaga III. The game does a good job emulating Takahashi's previous games despite not having some of the prominent design members of his old stuff being there.
  10. I also love the stylistic and thematic similarities to Xenogears and Xenosaga. Dunban is Citan/Jin, Fiora looks like Elly at first, later on she bears a striking resemblance to KOS-MOS (who was already similar to Elly), Riki is Chu-chu, but much more likable and useful, the events at the beginning reallly remind me to the destruction of Lahan, what happens to the High Entia is also very similar to what happened on Disc 2, it's just this time it's not only scary, but also really heartbreaking if you look at the affinity chart... All in all, I love how completely new this game is, while still retaining these stylistic influences from the previous games
