Nope. Neighbor's cat. Comes over for snuggles every now and again. You can't see that in the photo, but if you saw him in person, you'd know he wasn't a stray. He's got super silly fur and just looks really presentable overall.

It is actually an exact equivalent! I'm also kinda on the fence about this, since I also sometimes struggle with picking the right one, but the change enforced by Starbucks just kind of invasive. Linguistic change happens overtime, not with a radical shift like that By the way, have you seen the pic I posted of that cute orange cat that visits me?
I find the ty / pan(i) thing interesting because German has the equivalent of Du/Sie (although you probably knew that) and I just find it annoying to switch it up depending on how well I know a person :P
