Oh I totally get that - I'll admit I'm getting a bit tired with my latest runthrough, since I'm trying to do a lot of quests that I haven't done before. It's taking a while.
It was just the same open world timesink wankery that AAA games tend to have nowadays. There were good bits, but the whole is always less than the parts.
