Thanks! My fitbit is nice. I got Dalton a Garmin viosmart tracker yesterday. I kinda like it more than the fitbit tbh. It tracks more variations of workout stuff, like biking ir whatever. And it shows you your texts/notifications right on the watch thing. His oesnt have the heart rate monitor though. But it's nice. At least you're moving around! That's better than nothing! Sometimes waking up and getting it done early just helps the whole day. Then when you get off work you don't have to worry about anything but relaxing.
That is a decent time! Especially if it's only week 4. I haven't ran in a long time. I've been a little slack since the new year. I have been exercising though! I've used the exercise bike a lot and I've been to the gym. I'm at work at 9:30am but I'm gonna attempt a run beforehand to get me back in to it. My ankles are the bane of my life. Scared of breaking them! I've been watching my food intake though. MFP is great for tracking. How is your Fitbit working for you?
So I'm now on week 4 of the Zombies run Couch to 5K program. So right now with the drills they have me doing, according to the distance on my treadmill, My 5K is at 48:28. Not bad? I guess. Under an hour! Woo! i'm getting better.
It's at least good that you were prepared for it. Some people don't get any warning at all. I was working for Royal Bank of Scotland during the Blue Monday Crash in 2009. It was awful. They only announced about 2000 redundancies to the press but they were issuing disciplinaries left, right and centre for nothing offenses trying to reduce the head count. I was having documented discussions with my team for ridiculous things. In the end they tried to pull me in for a disciplinary so I just left with immediate effect. It was such a horrible environment. Luckily I got this job after a few weeks but trying to find work when unemployed though is never fun. Dalton will be fine, I'm sure. Something will come up soon
Yeah probably not haha He'll find something but we foresaw this coming. It's why we've been saving money up. Just sucks that it happened. We'll be okay though, he'll find something.
Man, that really is sucky. Poor Dalton. There are no guarantees in any company these days, especially when you consider the zombie apocalypse could be literally weeks away for all we know. Maybe I should brush up on some proper survival skills. We're quite lucky that MissH's make-up business is taking off at the minute but alas... I'm not sure that's quite up Dalton's street!
Nope! Oil industry has crashed. We'd have to move across country to find anything. So currently he's a bum on our couch. That's a lie, I had him make me some planters so I can plant a garden this spring haha. He's been getting a lot of stuff around the house done. Probably will be a while before he can find something though. So unemployment it is! For oil industry reference, gas prices when I started to drive in '06 were $4.00/gallon. In Oklahoma City, it's $0.98/gallon.... He worked on Nitrogen Fraking units, he built them. So since we aren't drilling cause the market is flooded with oil, they don't need his units, so they don't need him! It sucks but welp, that's the oil industry.
I'm gonna try and go for a tentative run tomorrow morning before work. The one good thing about having a baby is I'm generally up early anyway! Sorry to hear about Dalton though. Has he got anything else coming up?
Confession: I ran once in three weeks. TO BE FAIR. Dalton's messed my mornings up. He lost his job this past week so he wants to sleep in so I can't get up and be loud. That's my excuse anyway.
Confession: I have not been out for a run in nearly a month. My time for the Virtual Race may be very poor!
