  1. We can only hope! I've got a couple of articles I gotta pitch soon, and hopefully I can get one up. I'm not even that fussed about getting paid for the first one, I just need the confidence boost.
  2. Well, if you fake it well enough in the interview, you're probably doing something right, I guess? And once you get a job then the confidence will kick in, thus making it no longer fake.
  3. It's the first step. I know I can do it. I just need to get that first thing published for the boost. I'm one of the least confident people I know. I try real hard to compensate though, so that's why you get the strange impression fake it til you make it!
  4. I just can't understand how you could be the kind of guy to lack confidence. You always appear extremely confident in the videos I've seen and, uh, the text. xD

I'm sort of lucky in that confidence is something I have in abundance when it comes to work. I know I can do anything with the correct training, so I don't think there's any job I can't do.
  5. That's pretty awesome of them. Free t-shirts is nothing to scoff at either, wow. There are always really nice people out there, I hope I can get myself a kickass boss who shows some good spirit eventually.

Gotta like, get a job first though. Proving to be a challenge thanks to no confidence.
  6. Sadly, billionaires are rich because they keep money rather than give it away. But they did invite us over sometimes, give us amazing food and t-shirts (because when you visit someone, it's normal to get a t-shirt, right?). I just loved that they would reserve the guest office for me when I stayed with Mum.
  7. That sounds absolutely glorious. I looked up Auckland while I was there for something or other, and Wikipedia says that it is sarcastically known as a Super City, but I think it really is quite an alright place. Didn't realise it spread that far west though, Waitekere seemed like a whole different place from what I saw on the weather reports.

I love that you made friends with billionaires. Hit them up and EoFF will be community owned in no time.
  8. Also, man, if you think everything was close in Auckland, wait 'til you see the UK (or anywhere in Europe, really)... it's a whole new level of compact.
  9. I'm a Westy. If you include the outer regions, Auckland is one of the largest cities in the world when you deal with geographical size, it's just extremely spread out. We could generally get to everything we needed within Waitakere (West Auckland) but sometimes you want to meet someone in the city or just go shopping there or whatever. I went their vaguely often because my Mum worked there and that meant I spent some of my school holidays playing Chip's Challenge on one of the PC's at her work. All the billionaires (yeah, my Mum had awesome bosses and was their receptionist) loved me.
  10. Where'd you live in Auckland? North side is hard to get around, but everywhere in the city was super close, at least compared to what I'm used to. I'm a smurfing country bumpkin all things considered.
