You should definitely go back to it. It's tied with X/Y as my favorite in the series.
Well, you've surpassed me. The farthest I ever got on it was three gym leaders in, I believe. I want to go back to Gold/Silver for a review some time and then Ruby/Sapphire, which I didn't play much of.
