  1. Freaking. Awesome.

Well, for me going to America, I don't have to pay any more tuition fees than I do here. The only expenses are the plane tickets and maintenance. I don't know if it's like that the other way around, though.

I'm studying Philosophy and Classical Civilisations. Fun fun! It's a Combined Studies course, which basically makes me look really clever. Yey!
  2. Why, the broad of course!

Yeah, a friend of mine went to Italy for a year. I think it'd be pretty neat. I don't know what I'd be studying though.

What about you? What are you studying?
  3. Pay who? HAHAHAHA. Ahem.

Yeah, I think so. My friend comes from Conneticut, so I can ask her what the money's like. She's only here for the one year.
  4. Indeed. I did notice the similarities.

I always wondered what it would be like studying abroad. Would I have to pay her?
  5. Some places in England have middle schools too. But it's all pretty much the same age group in both countries.
  6. Oh, I get it. It's strange to see it any way different than the way I went through school. I don't know if you already know but it goes:

    Kindergarten: 4-5 (free)
    Elementary School: 5-11 (free)
    Middle School: 12-14 (free)
    High School: 14-18 (free)
College (Universities): 18+ This is where we go to get higher education for careers and the like. This, also, is pretty smurfing expensive.
  7. It goes like this:

Primary School: 4-11 - free to students
Secondary School: 11-16 - free to students
College: 16-18 - free to students
University: 18 (or any age) - whatever age you want or can pay for - this is where we get into £20K debt for three years learning. Brilliant.
  8. Yeah, college and university is basically the same thing. University of Phoenix is one right off the top of my head.

So what's college and what's university over there?
  9. College is American for university, right? Because over here, college isn't university.

    I'm at Manchester.
  10. lol That's funny.

What University are you going to? (I'm assuming it's a college)
